When I was 17, I was talking with my friend about the film “TransAmerica”… this is what I said, out of ignorance:
me: yes, i can imagine
8:53 PM i can most certainly imagine i’m confused- the song I’m listening to is so good- it’s all about letting the Lord help us through the hard times and leaning on him Bethany: yes and… me: But the song’s from the soundtrack of TransAmerica (a movie)8:54 PM the world wants to confuse right and wrong, i am thinking Bethany: i don’t even recognize the name me: do you recognize what it’d be talking about? or not?8:55 PM by the title? Bethany: no not really, no8:56 PM me: they say TRANSamerica because it’s about a man who is Transsexual (a mental disorder- which i find interesting) Transsexuals fervently believe that they were not destined to be the gender they are, so they have surgery to change that which they have no authority to change. I find that the fact that it is a disorder is interesting8:57 PM haha, not that i find the disorder itself interesting Bethany: that’s sad that people could thinkt that way me: No kidding-8:58 PM Like it says in the Proclamation, Gender is an essential characteristic That’s why i say that i think the world is attempting to confuse right and wrong Bethany: yeah, really me: “world” as in the devilI did not understand transsexualism at all. I’m glad I’ve changed.
